10 Natural Ways To Sharpen Your Memory

1. Say No to Sugar

Eating sugar has been linked to causing multiple health issues including obesity and a few chronic diseases. Excessive consumption of sugar may lead to problems such as diabetes, heart diseases, tooth cavities, mood swings, and more.

Sugar may give you temporary happiness but in the long term, it has no nutritional value and it makes us dull.

Eating sugar not only makes us feel lethargic and sloppy but also does severe damage to our brains according to research. Replace sugar with agave, stevia, jaggery, and honey. Ditching sugar will be the best decision you take to sharpen your memory.

A good night’s sleep ensures your body is pumped up, charged, and ready to kick ass the next day. Research suggests that 7 to 9 hours of sleep every night can be perfect for your health.

We all know this. Too much of anything is bad just as consuming too much alcohol can severely impact your memory. Consistently consuming excess alcohol can also cause temporary blackouts which aren’t a good sign for your body as well as your mind.

Regularly drinking alcohol aggressively damages the hippocampus, a part of your brain that plays a vital role in memory. That doesn’t mean you need to stop drinking altogether.

Drinking a glass or two on an occasion is perfectly normal and may have a few health benefits too, only excessive drinking will unsharpen your memory.
